Google search console is a free tool owned by Google and it is created to help website owners to track their website performance,Google search console can also be used to improve SEO because it is a collection of tools, so it could do a lot of things to help you website grow, with time. It also depends on how far you know how to use the tools, but do not worry because i have a couple of things to show you in this post.

Sign in to your Google account.
Visit Google Search console https://search.google.com/search-console/
Verify your website with any of the available options.
Confused? Don't be, the next paragraph is going to be how to do it. Mind you, images will be attached for more clarification.

Let me show you how to setup Google search console in five simple step, come with me.
Step #1
Sign in to your Google Account.
Make sure your Google Account is active,use the Google account associated with your website.
Step #2
Visit Google Search Console and click the 'start now' button.
Step #3
Add your website and verify it. In this step, i will show you how to add your website and also verify it.
After clicking start, navigate to the sidebar and click 'Add Property'
Step #4
Add your website domain, by choosing the URL verification option, it is easier when you are using Blogger, you do not need any integration. See image below.
Step 35
To finally verify your website copy the code and insert it in your website DNS TXT RECORDS. I also show you an alternative verification method.
You might not, or do not want to verify your website using that method, do not worry the alternate method might be for you, follow me.
The alternate method is the URL prefix method, see below.
When you enter your URL with the prefix and click verify, you would see a list of available options like:
HTML Tag, Add meta tags to your website header.
HTML File Add file to your site
Using Google Analytics amongst other.

To index your website, navigate to the sidebar and click the "URL inspection " option, then search your website URL in the search bar, see below.
Then, you can see the result of the URL whether is on Google or not.
Note: From the rest of the options in the sidebar, you can find any details, you are interested, but you can only see performance, page report and more when your site is indexed on Google.
